Vehicle Interior (G2389603)
- Check the interior of the vehicle for damage and cleanliness.
Remove and discard the interior protection following local regulations and inspect the interior for damage.
Make sure that the Head Up Display (HUD) protective cover is removed (if equipped).
Record any damage on the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) check sheet.
- Configure the vehicle to market and set customer/retailer options.
Power down the vehicle modules.
- Make sure the hood and all doors are closed.
- Lock the vehicle and place the smart keys at least 5m away from the vehicle.
- Allow 10 minutes for the vehicle modules to fully power down.
- Unlock the vehicle and place the smart keys on the center console.
- Switch the ignition on.
Touch Screen Display (TSD) overview.
NOTE:- Make sure that the touch screens are clean before vehicle handover to the customer.
- The Touch Screen Display (TSD) and the number of screen pages will vary depending on vehicle specification.
Use the instrument cluster (via the steering wheel controls) and TSD, to configure the vehicle to market as instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Configure the Touch Screen Display (TSD) options.
Set the language and unit of measurement, specific to the market unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Language.
Select Settings > All settings > Language.
Set the language.
Unit of measurement.
Select Settings > All settings > Unit of measurement.
Set the unit of measurement.
Set the instrument cluster options.
To display and navigate through the vehicle information and settings menu, operate the menu control on the steering wheel.
Set the language and unit of measurement specific to the market unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Language.
Select Menu > Display > Language.
Set the language.
Unit of measurement.
Select Menu > Display > Unit of measurement.
Set the unit of measurement.
Auto High Beam (AHB)/Laser supplementary (if equipped).
NOTE: The Auto High Beam (AHB) feature may be enabled (or disabled) by selecting (or de-selecting) Activate Assist. Enabling (or disabling) AHB will not affect previous 'Hand of Traffic' settings.The automatic headlamp system has an additional feature, AHB or laser. The 'Hand of Traffic' must be set in the message center and the feature must be enabled for correct operation.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Exterior lighting > AHB or Laser.
Set the AHB or laser, specific to the market unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Visually check to make sure that there are no stickers, labels or other obstructions directly in view of the AHB camera sensor.
Animated direction indicators (if equipped).
Enable animated direction indicators unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Exterior lighting > Direction indicator > Animated ON/OFF.
2 stage vehicle unlocking.
Enable 2 stage vehicle unlocking unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Security features > 2 stage unlocking.
Drive-away door locking.
Enable drive-away door locking unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Security features > Drive-away door locking.
During the road test make sure that all the doors lock when the vehicle speed exceeds the selected setting.
Reverse-dip mirror.
Enable the reverse-dip mirror unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Convenience features > Reverse-dip mirror.
During the road test when selecting reverse, make sure that the mirrors dip accordingly.
Auto wipe.
Enable auto wipe unless otherwise instructed on the customer configurations sheet.
Select Menu > Vehicle settings > Convenience features > Auto wipe.
- Bluetooth®. NOTE:
- Make sure that the device is enabled for Bluetooth®.
- Please refer to the owners section of the Land Rover website at www.landrover.com, for a list of compatible phones.
- There are two ways of pairing the Bluetooth® device and the vehicle. Detailed below is pairing to the vehicle, the other method is using the 'Vehicle to device' to pair to the device.
- If the 'Vehicle to device' method is selected, follow the instructions on screen.
Use a Bluetooth® capable device to:
- With the vehicle ignition system switched ON and the Touch Screen switched ON:
- Select Settings > All settings > Features > Phone > Bluetooth®.
- Select Pair new device.
- Switch on the device's Bluetooth® > Search for devices.

NOTE: The function may differ depending on the device. See the device's instructions for further information.
Make sure that all paired devices are removed and deleted from the Bluetooth® settings before customer handover.
- Check all the interior lights.
Check all interior lights (except glovebox and vanity mirror lamps), illuminate when the vehicle is unlocked or a door is opened.
- Check operation of the electric windows, electric sunroof and panoramic roof blind
(if equipped).
Make sure that the front and rear electric windows operate correctly from the drivers door controls and each of the passenger doors.
Check the manual and one-touch operation.
If one-touch is not operating, follow the procedure below:
- Fully close the window. Release the window switch then lift to the close position and hold for 2 seconds.
- Fully open the window. Release the window switch then push it to the open position and hold for 2 seconds.
- Check the one-touch operation. Repeat the procedure on all windows.
Make sure the roof blind operates correctly (if equipped).
Make sure the sunroof operates correctly (if equipped).
Anti trap protection override.
If when closing the window, the window stops and reverses, this may be due to a blockage such as ice, damage in the glass guide or a misaligned seal, causing the anti trap function to operate. If there are signs of damage or other faults, the problem must be rectified before proceeding with the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checks.
NOTE: If this procedure fails to remove the blockage, the anti trap feature will be lost and must be reset after the blockage is cleared or rectified.If the stoppage is due to icing, the protection function may be overridden as follows:
- After the initial attempt to close the window, operate the close switch a second time.
- When the window has reversed from the blockage, operate the switch (within 10 seconds) until the window stops again (the window will not reverse on the third attempt).
- Immediately operate the close switch again. The window will now move up a short distance with increased force to override the blockage.
- Repeat the override action until the window has closed. Each time the window stops, the switch must be operated immediately (within 0.5 seconds) to initiate further override action.
Window motor thermal overload protection.
If the windows are repeatedly opened and closed, a protection system will de-activate window operation for a short period to avoid overheating of the window electric motors.
Check the electric windows for correct operation, including one-touch open/close:
- Fully open and close all windows.
- Check that the rear window isolation switch is operational.
- Check condition and operation of all the seats and seat belts.
Check all seat belts are correctly installed at the mounting points, lock and release from the buckle correctly and the belt locks when quickly pulled. The belt should retract to it's original position.
- Vehicle emergency equipment.
Make sure that the vehicle emergency equipment is complete and in the correct location.
Check the tightness of the spare wheel clamp (if equipped).
- Check operation of the deployable towbar
(if equipped).
- Push the towbar power switch once. The GREEN LED should illuminate.
- Press the deploy/stow switch once to deploy the towbar. The LED should flash GREEN and the towbar should move to its fully deployed position. Once in its fully deployed position, a buzzer will sound twice.
- Push the towbar power switch again if the GREEN 3 LED has gone out.
- Press the deploy/stow switch once to stow the towbar. The LED should flash GREEN and the towbar should move to its fully stowed position. Once in its fully stowed position, a buzzer will sound twice.
NOTE: If the RED and GREEN LED flash and the buzzer sounds while operating the towbar, it will need to be reinitialized.To initialize the deployable towbar:
- Push the power switch to the ON position.
- Hold both the power switch and the deploy/stow switch for 10 seconds until both LEDs stop flashing and remain ON.
- Turn the ignition ON and start the engine. Turn off the engine and ignition, then turn the ignition ON and OFF.
- Check that both LEDs are flashing.
- Turn the ignition ON and start the engine. Turn off the engine and ignition, then turn the ignition ON and OFF.
- Push the power switch to the ON position.
- Press and hold the deploy/stow switch until the towbar is in its fully deployed position. Once in position, release the switch and the buzzer will sound to confirm the process is complete.
- Check the operation of the towbar.
- Disconnect the Jaguar Land Rover approved Battery Support Unit (BSU).
