Vehicle lifting equipment

Make sure the vehicle lifting equipment is located in the correct location.
- Disconnect the approved Jaguar Land Rover battery support unit (if required).
- Check operation of the vehicle alarm system.
Check for correct operation of the vehicle alarm system:
- Make sure all doors and windows are closed.
- When the handset lock button is pressed twice, the horn will emit a single tone.
- Sit in the vehicle and try to exit by opening a door to check the operation of the alarm.
- Press the unlock button and make sure the alarm has been disarmed. The hazard lamps will flash twice to indicate that the alarm is disabled.
- Check the vehicle 'mis-lock' function is working correctly, by leaving one of the doors partly open. When the handset lock button is pressed, the horn will emit a double tone.
