Install the center caps.

  1. Inspect road wheels and tires for damage (including spare wheel if fitted).
CAUTION: When inspecting the tires, take care to check all of the tire tread including the inboard and outboard side walls for any kind of damage.
  2. Check all the wheel retaining nuts are tightened to the correct torque value.

    Torque: 133 Nm (98 lbf.ft).

  3. Set tire pressures to road test value. Remove bar code labels from wheels.
CAUTION: Refer to the owner's manual for road use tire pressures.

Initially drop each tire pressure to approximately 2-4 psi below the recommended pressure and then inflate the tires to the desired pressure.

  4. Activate the soft close function (if equipped).

Check the soft close function is operating correctly.

  5. Check operation of doors, door locks, child locks, bonnet catch, safety catch and fuel flap and lock.
    NOTE: Power tailgate where fitted.
    1. Make sure the vehicle is unlocked and all doors are closed.
    2. Press the lock button on the remote handset once and make sure all doors have been locked.
    3. Press the unlock button once. Only the driver's door should be unlocked.
    4. Press the unlock button again to unlock all remaining doors.
    5. Using the key blades in the remote control handsets, check operation of the driver's door emergency access lock and child safety locks. A moulded label details the position of when child safety locks are either turned on or disabled.
    6. The first time the power tailgate is opened, it will do so very slowly while it self-calibrates.
    7. Verify power tailgate opens from Smart Key™ and internal and external release switches and closes from the switch on the inside of the tailgate.
  6. Make sure both Smart Keys™ operate correctly and fit the correct type approval labels (where applicable).
