- If fault lamp(s) are illuminated, interrogate the system using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment and report findings.
- Install the airbag warning label to glovebox (NAS markets only).
AIR BAG WARNING LABEL National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) - MANDATORY fitment of Air Bag Warning label.
- Open the glove compartment to gain access to mount the air bag warning label.
- Loop the elastic around the single latch.
- Close the lid and leave the label hanging on the outside of the glove compartment, make sure the label is clearly visible to the owner of the vehicle at the time of handover.
- Vehicle literature pack.
The vehicle owner handbooks are supplied as a sealed literature pack in the luggage compartment.
NOTE: The contents of the literature pack will vary according to the market.
- Open the literature pack and check that the handbooks are supplied in the correct market and language.
- Place the literature pack inside the glovebox.
- Make sure the standard vehicle operation Quick Start Guide is in a prominent position inside the vehicle prior to delivery to the customer.
- Place the road side assistance card in the center console compartment.
- Personal Sim (if required).
- The Personal SIM card slot is located in the center console's cubby box. Open the cubby box and insert the SIM card into the slot.
- Make sure that the SIM card is fully inserted with the gold connectors facing upwards. When the SIM card is correctly inserted, it should not be sticking out from the slot.
- Using the Touch Screen, select Setting >Connectivity >Mobile Data 'ON'.
- Wait for the '3G/4G' icon to display on the Touch Screen.
- Connect a compatible device using the Hot Spot name and password found on screen.
- Make sure that the device is connected and data can be transferred between the device and SIM card.
- Place floor mats in vehicle.
Make sure that the mats are the correct color for the trim specification. Use the retention lugs and install the floor mats securely in the vehicle.
- Place the camera, memory card and camera mount in the vehicle (if option selected).
- Proposition 65 Warning Label (State of California only). CAUTION:
- The fitment of this warning label is a legal requirement in the State of California for all vehicles built from 30th August 2018 onwards. DO NOT hand over the car to the customer without the label fitted.
- Depending on the vehicle build date, the Proposition 65 warning label may come affixed to vehicle driver's window (requiring check) or placed in the transit board located in the luggage area of the vehicle (requiring fitment).
Check Proposition 65 warning label is affixed to the driver's window.
Observe the following when checking the label:
- If there are any air bubbles breaking the borders of the label, it needs to be replaced.
- If there are grease or other marks breaking the borders of the label, it needs to be replaced.
- If it peels off from the window glass, it needs to be replaced.
- If there is any damage in the label that prevents reading the text on it, it needs to be replaced.
NOTE: If the label is not affixed to the driver's window nor fitted in the transit bag, obtain a new label using normal Parts ordering procedures and follow the instructions below.Install Proposition 65 warning label.
- Take the Proposition 65 warning label from the transit board in vehicle luggage area.
- Affix the label on the inner side of driver's window so that the label text is clearly visible to the owner of the new vehicle from the outside at the time of handover (refer to image for reference). Consider the following:
- Make sure the window is fully closed.
- Make sure the window surface is clean.
- Do not cover the glass marking.
- Make sure the label is fitted without bubbles or creases.
- If there are grease or other marks breaking the borders of the label, it needs to be replaced.
- If it peels off from the window glass, it needs to be replaced.
- If there is any damage in the label that prevents reading the text on it, it needs to be replaced.
NOTE:- If the label is not present in the transit board, obtain a new label following normal Parts ordering procedures.
- All USA vehicles will eventually be supplied with a Proposition 65 warning label in the transit board. Dispose the label if the car is to be sold in another State.
- If the label is not affixed to the driver's window nor fitted in the transit bag, please report the shortage by raising an Electronic Product Quality Report.
- Make sure the Proposition 65 warning label remains affixed to the driver's door window through to vehicle handover to the customer.
- Remove vehicle from storage conditions. CAUTION: when the tire pressures are reduced from the high transit/storage pressure to normal pressures, the final pressure will rise. The initial high drop in pressure from transit/storage pressure (52 psi) to normal pressure will cause the tire pressure to rise after 2 minutes, giving incorrect tire pressures by up to 6 psi.
If the vehicle has been in storage since the PDI was completed, remove the vehicle from Transit Mode and set all tire pressures (including spare) with the tires cold to the recommended tire pressures provided on the label attached to the driver's 'B' pillar. Initially drop each tire pressure to approximately 2-4 psi below the recommended pressure and then inflate the tires to the desired pressure.
- Retain a copy of the PDI schedule in the Customer/Vehicle History File.
- Make sure the vehicle is clean prior to customer delivery.
Do a final valet of the vehicle:
- Make sure all transit protection is removed.
- Inspect the vehicle interior for damage and marks.
- Check all fixings, controls, and switches for correct installation and quality of finish.
- Clean the bodywork; inspect for damage and blemishes.
- Valet the vehicle interior and exterior including all glass.
