Introduction (G2245319): Notes
This Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) information is applicable to XE SV Project 8 .
Petrol Engines:
- 5.0L supercharged
The purpose of the PDI is to make sure that the customer receives a vehicle which has been manufactured to the highest possible standard.
Where possible, this PDI manual has been organized to make the PDI a more fluid and continuous process. This will allow the person conducting the PDI to prepare the vehicle in a more efficient manner.
Before starting the PDI, use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) claims submission system to verify the vehicle specification and check for any outstanding Recalls, Service Actions, and Update Prior to Sale (UPS) notices.
- No vehicle should be publicly displayed before the PDI has been completed.
- There are references in this document that state right hand or left hand. This refers to the location of components when viewed from the driver's seat while facing forward. Other references where right hand or left hand are used in the text are to describe the location of an item on/or within a component when facing the component.
- Make sure the vehicle body and internal protection covers are available.
Entering the vehicle in transit mode/battery flat condition.
- To access the emergency lock, remove the door handle cover as shown in illustration E244476.
- Insert the emergency key blade into the lock.
- To open the door, turn the key blade towards the front of the vehicle.
