Crankshaft Position Sensor (G1998396): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING .

  2. Remove the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .

  3. NOTE: This step contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand side components are similar.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
