Thermostatic Expansion Valve - Project 8 (G2251640): Installation

  1. Install the 8 new O-ring seals.

    Renew Part: Thermostatic expansion valve O-ring seal(s)  Quantity: 8  .

    • Install the Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV).
    • Install the pipe.
    • Install and tighten the nut.

    Torque  : 5Nm 

    • Install the air duct.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel.

    Refer to the appropriate Instrument Panel and Console repair information.

  5. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  6. Charge the Air Conditioning (A/C) system.

    Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING
