Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor

The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor is a NTC thermistor that provides the HVAC with an input of external air temperature. The sensor is installed in the left door mirror and hardwired to the PCM, which broadcasts the temperature on the HS CAN powertrain systems bus. The HVAC receives the temperature via the HS CAN comfort systems bus from the BCM/GWM assembly.
