Front Seat Track Motor - Project 8 (G2263538): Removal

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

Make the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) safe.
Refer to: SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Remove the front row seat backrest cover trim panel.
Refer to: FRONT ROW SEAT BACKREST COVER TRIM PANEL - PROJECT 8
Remove the front row seat cushion cover.
Refer to: FRONT ROW SEAT CUSHION COVER - PROJECT 8

- Remove the clip.
- Remove the grommet.
- Move the wiring harness away from the lumbar motor.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the lumbar motor.

Remove the adhesive tape.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the lumber back cover.

- Remove the clip.
- Remove the grommet.
- Move the wiring harness away from the seat frame.

- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the adhesive tape.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat motor.
- Release the clip.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS).

- Remove the screw.
- Release the pipe from the seat bracket.
- Move the OCS away from the seat base.
NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.

- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the OCS.

- Remove the clip.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Move the seatbelt buckle wiring harness away from the seat base.

- Remove the 3 clips.
- Remove the bolt and the seatbelt buckle assembly.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat track position sensor.
- Remove the screw and the seat track position sensor.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the seatbelt pretensioner.
- Remove the 2 clips.

Remove the bolt and the seatbelt pretensioner.

- Remove the 3 clips.
- Move the wiring harness away from the seat base.

- Remove the 4 rear seat base clips from the seat assembly.
- Remove the 4 front seat base clips and remove the seat base.

- Release the clip.

Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors from the seat motor.

- Remove the 2 screws from the seat base tray.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- Move the seat base tray away from the seat base.

Remove the front row seat wiring harness and tray assembly.

- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the seat back from the front seat track motor assembly.
