NOTE:
On Range Rover (L405) 18MY onwards, the climate assemblies described below are only used for seat cooling. Heater mats are used for the heating functionality of the climate seats, thus if the customer symptom is specifically an issue with Range Rover (L405) 18MY onwards climate seat heating, please refer to the heater mat diagnostic and testing guide.
The seat base and seat backrest climate assemblies are wired in series and are connected to the HVAC through a seat climate control module. The seat climate control module monitors the fan speeds and temperatures of the TED's. Any faults detected in the seat base and/or seat backrest climate assemblies should trigger a DTC to be set by the HVAC . SYMPTOM CHARTS lists the potential symptoms that may be exhibited by the seat climate system and the steps that should be taken to rectify the faults.
