Cooling Module - Project 8 (G2248476): Installation

  1. Install the cooling module. Install and tighten and 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  2. CAUTION: Take care not to damage the O-ring seals during installation.
    • Install the upper Air Conditioning (A/C) pipe and new O-ring seal. Install and tighten the bolt.

      Renew Part: Air conditioning pipes O-ring seals  Quantity: 2. 

      Torque  : 20Nm 

    • Install the lower A/C pipe and new O-ring seal. Install and tighten the nut.

    Renew Part: Air conditioning pipes O-ring seals  Quantity: 2. 

    Torque  : 20Nm 

  3. Connect the left side coolant hose to the charge air radiator.
  4. Connect the right side upper coolant hose to the radiator.
  5. Connect the degas pipe.
    • Connect the hose to the charge air radiator and secure the clip.
    • Install the coolant pump. Install and tighten the bolt

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant pump.
  8. Connect the left side coolant hose to the radiator.
  9. Secure the 4 coolant hose clips to the cooling fan shroud.
  10. Connect the right side lower coolant hose to the radiator and secure the 2 clips to the cooling fan shroud.
  11. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
  12. Install the 2 mounting brackets. Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  13. Install the air duct.
    • Connect the air duct to the left side air filter housing.
    • Connect the air duct to the right side air filter housing.
  15. Install the air filter outlet pipe T-connector.

    Refer to: AIR FILTER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR

  16. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - PROJECT 8

  17. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  18. Vacuum fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING 

  19. Install the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER

  20. Charge the A/C system.

    Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING
