Coolant Pump (G2244104): Installation

  1. CAUTION: Observe correct installation of the coolant pump to oil cooler tube o-ring seals. Failure to do so may result in coolant loss.

    Make sure that the coolant pump to oil cooler tube o-ring seals are correctly installed.

    • Install the new O-ring seals and gaskets.

      Renew Part: Oil cooler to water pump O-ring seals  Quantity: 2. 

      Renew Part: Engine coolant pump gasket  Quantity: 2. 

    • Install the coolant pump. Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 12Nm 

  3. Install the coolant pump pipe.
    • Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

    Torque  : 40Nm 

  5. CAUTION:
    • Make sure that the accessory drive belt is correctly located on each pulley.
    • Clean the accessory drive belt pulleys and inspect for damage.

    Install the accessory drive belt.

  6. Install the coolant pump hose and the hose clamp.
  7. Install the supercharger belt.

    Refer to: SUPERCHARGER BELT .

  8. Vacuum fill the coolant system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING 

  9. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
