Left Catalytic Converter (G2244166): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - PROJECT 8
Remove the front muffler.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM CENTER SECTION

Remove the 3 bolts and the heatshield.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 2 clips.

Remove the 2 nuts and the catalytic converter.
NOTE:
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new sensor.
- Only perform the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

Using the special tool, remove the 2 Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S).

Special Tool(s): 310-121
