Front Section

The front section comprises of 2 exhaust pipes each incorporating a catalytic converter. Each catalytic converter is joined to an inlet pipe with a flange that is attached to each of the exhaust manifolds.

Each exhaust pipe of the front section is equipped with a mid catalyst and a post catalyst Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S). Each HO2S monitors the exhaust gases leaving the engine. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses this information to provide accurately metered quantities of fuel to the combustion chambers. This makes sure that the engine uses fuel efficiently and minimizes exhaust emissions.

A curved exhaust pipe from each catalytic converter locates into the cross-over pipe of the center section.
