Main Wiring Harness (G1862905): Removal
- Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
- Note the installed position of the component(s) prior to removal.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Make the air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) safe.

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the thermostatic expansion valve.
Refer to: THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE
- Remove the headliner

Remove the b-pillar lower trim panel.

Remove the front row seat.

- Remove the rear seat backrest cover.

- Remove the luggage compartment treadplate.

- Remove the parcel shelf.

- Remove the rear bumper.

- Remove the rear lamp assembly.

- Remove the luggage compartment lid trim panel.

- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the cover.
Remove the loadspace trim.

- Remove the clip.
- Remove the spare wheel.

Remove the tire repair kit.

Move the weatherstrip away from the body.
Release the 3 right side loadspace clips.
Remove the right side loadspace trim.
Release the 3 left side loadspace clips.
Remove the left side loadspace trim.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the 2 floor carpets.

Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the park assist module.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Release the bracket from the 4 studs.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Release the clip.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Release the 13 clips.
- Disconnect the 6 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness from the clip.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the body control module.

- Remove the grommet.

Disconnect the rear door wiring harness.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the bracket.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Reposition the wiring harness as illustrated.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the nut.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Raise the vehicle.

Remove the 2 nuts.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the clip.
- Release the grommet.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the grommet.
- Remove the bolt.
Torque : 10Nm
- Remove the nut.
Torque : 10Nm
- Remove the bracket.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the grommet.
- Release the wiring harness from the 2 studs.
- Remove the bolt.

- Disconnect the 7 electrical connectors.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the wiring harness from the stud.

Remove the cover.

- Remove the fuel tank.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Release the grommet.

- Disconnect the 5 electrical connectors.
- Remove the nut.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the wiring harness from the stud.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 clips.
Release the 8 clips.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the 3 clips
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Release the wiring harness from the 2 studs.

Remove the rear left wheel and tire.

- Disconnect the 5 electrical connectors.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the nut.
- Disconnect the 8 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the nut.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 4 clips.
Release the 8 clips.
Remove the main wiring harness.
