Engine Wiring Harness - V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol (G2272441): Removal
- Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

- Remove the secondary bulkhead left panel.

- Remove the secondary bulkhead right panel.
Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD RIGHT PANEL - V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL
- Remove the left air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: LEFT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE
- Remove the right air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: RIGHT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe t-connector.
Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
- Remove the exhaust system.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM
- Drain the cooling system.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
- Disconnect the 4 supercharger coolant pipes.
- Disconnect the brake vacuum pipe.
- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Remove the left engine Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
- Install the oil filler cap.
- Release the vacuum pipe clip.
- Remove the left engine NVH material.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the throttle body.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors in the area of thermostat.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the bolt.
- Reposition the thermostat assembly.
- Remove the ground cable bolt.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the left Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) solenoid.
- Remove the ground cable bolt.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the right VCT solenoid.
- Disconnect the 3 right ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 3 right fuel injector electrical connectors.
Release the right upper wiring harness bracket assembly.
- Disconnect the 3 left ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 3 left fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the left Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) differential pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Release the fuel vapor pipe.
Reposition the purge valve assembly.
Release the left upper wiring harness bracket assembly.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the 4 cable brackets.
- Reposition the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever assembly.
- Disconnect the supercharger pressure and temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the knock sensor link harness electrical connector.
- Disconnect the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
- Disconnect the 2 fuel pump electrical connectors.
- Remove the starter motor wiring harness nut.
- Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect oil level and temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 2 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connectors.
- Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
Release the 2 lower wiring harness brackets.
Release accessory drive belt.
- Disconnect Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.

CAUTION: Make sure that there is no tension on the Air Conditioning (A/C) pipes when the A/C compressor bolts are removed. Use suitable equipment to support the A/C compressor.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Reposition and support the A/C compressor.
- Disconnect oil pump electrical connector.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.
Release the 2 vacuum pipe clips.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Release the rear top wiring harness bracket.
- Disconnect the transmission electrical connector.
- Release the 5 wiring harness clips.
- Release the wiring harness bracket.
Release the 5 wiring harness clips at the left side of the transmission.
Release the wiring bracket at the rear top of the transmission.
- Disconnect the transfer case electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness bracket.
Release the 4 HO2S sensor wiring harness clips.
Remove the engine wiring harness.
