Engine Wiring Harness - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol (G2046723): Removal

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the intake air resonator.

- Remove the intake manifold assembly.
Refer to: INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Disconnect the 2 coolant pump harness electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the compressor recirculation valve electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors in the area of the oil filter housing.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the wiring harness bracket.
- Disconnect the 2 Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors in the area of the charge air cooler.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the electrical connector in the area of Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.
- Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the cylinder block temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the thermostat electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors in the area of the thermostat.
- Release the wiring harness bracket.
- Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the wiring harness clip.

NOTE: If equipped.
Disconnect the Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors at the rear of the engine.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 8 electrical connectors at the top of the engine.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 6 electrical connectors in the area of the ignition coils.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the 4 engine wiring harness connectors from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

CAUTION: Make sure the wiring harness and electrical connectors are not damaged during this operation.NOTE: Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Remove the engine wiring harness.
