Engine Wiring Harness - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (G2271866): Removal

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the intake air resonator.
Refer to: INTAKE AIR RESONATOR
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Release the vacuum reservoir.
- Remove the thermostat.

- Remove the secondary bulkhead right panel.

- Remove the secondary bulkhead left panel.
Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD LEFT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL
- Remove the bolt.
- Reposition the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever assembly.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the intake manifold.
- Release the vacuum pipe clip.
- Release the 8 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 5 fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Release the 3 retaining clips.
- Release the glow plug link harness clip.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the generator.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
Disconnect the 2 Electronic Vacuum Regulating Valve (EVRV) electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 pipe clips.
- Reposition the EVRV pipes.
- Release the hose clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the coolant pipe assembly.
- Disconnect the 5 electrical connectors in the area of the oil filter.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the engine wiring harness bracket.
- Release the 3 engine wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the coolant pump link harness electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the turbocharger electrical connector.
- Disconnect the low pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the glow plug link harness electrical connector.
Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
Disconnect the EGR coolant hose.
- Disconnect the 7 electrical connectors at the left side of the engine.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the harness clip.
- Release the harness bracket.
- Disconnect the 11 electrical connectors at the rear of the engine.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
Release the engine wiring harness bracket at the rear of the engine.

Remove the engine wiring harness.
