Engine Wiring Harness - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (G2271866): Installation

  1. Install the engine wiring harness.
  2. Install the engine wiring harness bracket at the rear of the engine.
    1. Connect the 11 electrical connectors at the rear of the engine.
    2. Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
    1. Install the harness bracket at the left side of the engine.
    2. Install the wiring harness clip.
    3. Connect the 7 electrical connectors.
    4. Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 9Nm 

  5. Connect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve coolant hose.
  6. Connect the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
    1. Connect the glow plug link harness electrical connector.
    2. Release the wiring harness clip.
    1. Connect the turbocharger electrical connector.
    2. Connect the low pressure EGR electrical connector.
    3. Install the wiring harness clip.
    1. Connect the coolant pump link harness electrical connector.
    2. Install the wiring harness clip.
    1. Connect the 5 electrical connectors in the area of the oil filter.
    2. Install the engine wiring harness bracket.
    3. Install the 3 engine wiring harness clips.
    4. Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 9Nm 

    1. Install the coolant pipe assembly.
    2. Install the hose clamp.
    3. Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque 

      M8 bolt: 25Nm 

      M6 bolt: 10Nm 

    1. Reposition the Electronic Vacuum Regulating Valve (EVRV) pipes.
    2. Install the 2 pipe clips.
  13. Connect the 2 EVRV electrical connectors.
    1. Connect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the generator.
    2. Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
    1. Connect the 5 fuel injector electrical connectors.
    2. Install the 3 retaining clips.
    3. Install the glow plug link harness clip.
    1. Connect the 4 electrical connectors in the area of the intake manifold.
    2. Install the vacuum pipe clip.
    3. Install the 8 wiring harness clips.
    1. Reposition the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever assembly.
    2. Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 9Nm 

  18. Install the secondary bulkhead right panel.

    Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD RIGHT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL

  19. Install the secondary bulkhead left panel.

    Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD LEFT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL

  20. Install the thermostat.

    Refer to: THERMOSTAT

    1. Install the vacuum reservoir.
    2. Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque  : 9Nm 

  22. Fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING

  23. Install the intake air resonator.

    Refer to: INTAKE AIR RESONATOR

  24. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
