The Tire Pressure Monitoring System Control Module (TPMSCM) has a diagnostic connection through the High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) chassis systems bus. The HS CAN chassis systems bus connection allows the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to retrieve the system status and faults.

Additionally, an on-board diagnostic routine within the TPMSCM constantly monitors the system and alerts the driver to system faults. The TPMSCM must turn on the amber warning indicator and/or displaying a message in the Instrument Cluster (IC) message center in case of a fault.
