Rear Bumper (G2203902): Installation

  1. Install the hands-free tailgate lower sensor.
  2. Install the hands-free tailgate upper sensor.
  3. CAUTION: An audible click is heard when the hands-free tailgate module is located correctly.
    • Install the 2 hands-free tailgate modules.
    • Connect the 4 electrical connectors.
    • Install the 4 parking aid sensors.
    • Install the 2 park assist sensors.
  5. NOTE: Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
    • Install the rear bumper harness.
    • Connect the 8 electrical connectors.
  6. CAUTION: Make sure to protect the paintwork.
    NOTE: Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
    • With assistance, install the rear bumper.
    • Secure the rear bumper on both sides.
    • Install the 2 rear bumper upper bolts.
    • Install the 2 covers.
  8. Install the 2 rear bumper lower bolts.
  9. NOTE: Right side only.
    • Secure the rear bumper harness to the bracket.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the rear bumper harness.
  10. Install the 2 rear bumper outer screws.
    • Reposition the 2 rear wheel arch liners.
    • Install and tighten the 4 screws.
    • Install and tighten the 4 nuts.
  12. CAUTION: Apply a small amount of grease to the bore and spigot areas of the wheel before installation. Make sure the grease does not come into contact with the vehicles braking components and the wheel stud threads. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

    Install the rear wheels and tires.

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 4Nm 

    Stage 2: 70Nm 

    Stage 3: 125Nm
