Washer Fluid Hose Repair (G2417146): Repair

NOTE:
- This procedure illustrates the use of the washer fluid hose kit to repair damage, kinks, splits or escaping fluid from the existing washer fluid system.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- To complete a repair splicing into the washer fluid hose system, 2 repair kits are required.
- Use steps 3 to 5 to replacing the washer fluid hose from a joint connection.
- Use steps 6 to 8 to repair splicing into the washer fluid hose system.
- Disconnect the washer fluid hose.
- Use a suitable cutting tool to cut the washer fluid hose.
- Remove and discard the section of the washer fluid hose.
- Connect the washer fluid hose.
- Connect the 2 washer fluid hoses using the connection joint supplied in the kit.
- Secure the washer fluid hoses in the connection joint with the 2 clips.
- Top-up the washer fluid and test for leaks.
- Use a suitable cutting tool to cut the washer fluid hose.
- Remove and discard the section of the washer fluid hose.
- Cut the new washer fluid hose to the correct size.
- Connect the washer fluid hoses using the connection joints supplied in the 2 kits.
- Secure the washer fluid hoses in the connection joints with the 4 clips.
- Top-up the washer fluid and test for leaks.
