Inner Constant Velocity Joint Boot (G1895700): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Remove the front halfshaft
Refer to: FRONT HALFSHAFT

Remove and discard the 2 retaining clips.
CAUTION: Care must be taken not to damage the component.

Position the halfshaft in a vice as illustrated.
CAUTION: Using a suitable soft drift, strike the joint in the area indicated to release it from the shaft.

Remove the inner Constant Velocity (CV) joint using a soft faced hammer.

Using a suitable tool mark the position of the component.

Remove and discard the circlip.

Using the special tool remove the bearings.

Remove and discard the inner CV joint boot.
