Right Heated Oxygen Sensor (G1818189): Removal

WARNING:
Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the air deflector.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
- Remove the exhaust system.

CAUTION:
- Make sure the H02S wiring harness is not twisted more than 180 degrees and is not in contact with the exhaust.
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- Make sure the anti-seize compound does not contact the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) tip.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and release the 3 retaining clips.
- Using the special tool, remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
