Arduous Operating Conditions (G2258357)

Arduous Driving Conditions - Engine Oil

Applicable to all petrol and diesel vehicles, recommended for one or more of the following conditions:

The vehicle is only used for short trips, resulting in the engine never reaching or operating at normal operating temperature.
The engine running at idle for extended periods and/or continuous low speed driving. For example; police, urban taxi, patrol/airport fleet or door-to-door delivery use.
Continuous operation where ambient temperatures are below minus 40°C or above 50°C.
Continuous operation at high vehicle speeds and high engine load for extended periods.

Arduous Driving Conditions - Intensive Off-Road Driving

Applicable only to Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV), recommended for one or more of the following conditions:

Daily off-road or rough roads use, operating at high engine speed and low vehicle speed.
Intensive use of low range gears and locking differentials (if fitted).
Frequent operation involving wading and/or driving on mud, snow, rocks and/or under dusty/sandy conditions.

Arduous Driving Conditions - Extreme Towing and/or Mountainous Driving.

Applicable to all vehicles, recommended for the following conditions:

Frequent operation at high engine speeds and low vehicle speed. For example; heavy cargo transportation and/or towing, including continuous driving on steep hills and/or under dusty/sandy conditions.

NOTE: Vehicles fitted with an independent oil service indicator reset.

An oil service indicator reset will be carried out once the intermediate/arduous service has been completed and recorded in the vehicle service history, as required.

NOTE: Vehicles fitted without an independent oil service indicator reset.

The intermediate/arduous service will be recorded in the vehicle service history as required, but no service indicator reset will be performed.

NOTE: If the arduous service is close in distance and/or time with any standard scheduled service, the retailer will inform the customer and request permission to perform all the required service actions at once.
