Valve Clearance Adjustment (G1851592): Adjustment

  1. Remove the camshafts.

    Refer to: LEFT CAMSHAFT (G1557011) 

    Refer to: RIGHT CAMSHAFT (G1557012) 

  2. CAUTION:
    • Do not use a magnet to remove the tappet.
    • Use the following formula to calculate the required bucket thickness. Original thickness + measured clearance - desired clearance = required bucket thickness.

    Remove the tappet and measure the thickness checking it against the specification table, replace if necessary.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATION 

    Renew Part: Valve graded tappet  Quantity: 1  .
