Lower Control Arm (G2214447): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

1. • Install the lower control arm.
   • Install 2 new nuts and bolts.

   Renew Part: Rear lower arm to subframe nut and bolt  Quantity: 2 

   Torque 

   Stage 1: 110Nm 

   Stage 2: 360° 

2. • Install the wheel speed sensor harness bracket.

   Torque  : 9Nm 

   • Secure the wheel speed sensor wiring harness.
3. Connect the suspension height sensor link.

   Torque  : 9Nm 

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   Vehicles with coil suspension

4. Install the spring.

   Refer to: SPRING .

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   Vehicles with air suspension

5. • Connect the lower control arm to the wheel knuckle.
   • Install a new nut and bolt.

   Renew Part: Rear lower arm to knuckle nut and bolt  Quantity: 1 

   Torque 

   Stage 1: 110Nm 

   Stage 2: 60° 

6. Connect the integral link to the lower arm.

   Renew Part: Integral link nuts and bolts  Quantity: 1 

   Torque 

   Stage 1: 48Nm 

   Stage 2: 60° 

7. Install the rear air spring.

   Refer to: REAR AIR SPRING .

8. Secure the stabilizer bar link with a new nut.

   Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link retaining nut(s)  Quantity: 1 

   Torque 

   Stage 1: 40Nm 

   Stage 2: 45° 

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   All vehicles

9. Install the wheel and tire.

   Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

10. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved wheel alignment equipment, check the rear wheel alignment and adjust if required.
