Electric Park Brake Release When The Vehicle Has No Electrical Power (G2219525): Check

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the rear wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

Disconnect the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) electrical connector.

- Remove the EPB actuator and discard the bolts.
- Discard the O-ring seal.

- Turn the right caliper pivot counter-clockwise to set the rear brake caliper to the maintenance position.
- Turn the left caliper pivot clockwise to set the rear brake caliper to the maintenance position.
