Static Apply/Release

Static apply mode will operate in all Power Modes. When the Electric Park Brake (EPB) switch is in the apply direction, the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) control module activates the 2 EPB actuators. The activated actuators apply the brakes. The ABS control module also signals the Instrument Cluster (IC) to turn on the EPB warning indicator. The warning indicator stays on continuously in Power Mode 6, and it stays on for 30 seconds after Power Mode 0 or 4 are selected.
