Brake Master Cylinder (G2214061): Installation

  1. CAUTION: Make sure that the push rod is aligned correctly to the brake master cylinder piston upon assembly.

    Install the brake master cylinder.

    Renew Part: Brake master cylinder seal(s)  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque  : 22Nm 

  2. Connect the brake master cylinder pipes.

    Torque: 17.5Nm

  3. Install the brake fluid reservoir.

    Refer to: BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR .

  4. Connect the 12V system.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

  5. Using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) diagnostic equipment, select 'Exit Control Module Manufacturing Service Mode'.

    General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment 

  6. Bleed the brake system.

    Refer to: BRAKE SYSTEM BLEED WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT .
