Spring - Vs S/C 5.0L Petrol (G2263804): Removal
CAUTION:
Nut and bolt must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for right side components, left side components are similar.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

Using the transmission jack support the rear suspension.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Release the suspension height sensor link.
Remove and discard the shock absorber nut and bolt.
Remove and discard the tie-rod nut and bolt.
Release the wheel speed sensor wiring harness.
- Remove and discard the 2 integral link nuts and bolts.
- Remove the 2 integral links.
- Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link nut.
- Release the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm.
- Remove and discard the rear lower control arm bolt.
- Remove the nut retaining bracket bolt.
- Discard the nut.
- Carefully lower the rear lower control arm.
- Remove the coil spring.
- Inspect the components and renew if damaged or worn.
