Electric Cooling Fan And Shroud (G2110296): Removal
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all components must be sealed.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Remove the front armature.
Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .
- Remove the air deflector.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
Disconnect the electrical connector and release the wiring harness retaining clip.
- Remove the charge air cooler coolant pump mounting bracket.
- Release the 2 coolant hose retaining clips.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Disconnect the 3 left side coolant hoses.
Release the radiator bleed hose.
Remove the radiator cooling fan motor and shroud from the cooling module.
