Rear Lower Control Arm (G2187519): Removal
CAUTION:
Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Before replacing the rear lower control arm, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.
Refer to: SUSPENSION ARMS .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to:LIFTING .
- Remove the rear coil spring.
Refer to: COIL SPRING .
Release the wiring harness.
Release the 2 wiring harnesses.
- Remove and discard the nut.
- Release the rear stabilizer upper bar link.

CAUTION: Discard the bolts.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the rear lower control arm.

NOTE: Only complete the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- Remove the 6 bolts.
- Remove the 6 brackets from the rear lower control arm.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the captive nut.
