Transfer Case Draining And Filling (G1560530): Filling

  1. NOTE: Make sure that all the component mating faces are clean.

    Torque Specification: 60 Nm 

  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.

  3. Refill transfer case with the recommended fluid, until the fluid is level with bottom of filler/level plug hole.
  4. NOTE: Make sure that all the component mating faces are clean.

    Torque Specification: 60 Nm 

  5. Refer to: Air Deflector (Removal and Installation).
    1. Connect an approved battery support unit/power supply to the vehicle.
    2. Connect the approved diagnostic equipment.
    3. Check for transfer case control module (TCCM) software updates.
    4. Update TCCM software if required.
    5. Carry out the diagnostic service function, Transfer case - Oil change reset  procedure.
    6. Disconnect the approved diagnostic equipment.
    7. Disconnect the approved battery support unit/power supply from the vehicle.
