PINPOINT TEST C: Clutch Calibration Angle Tests

  1. C1: CLUTCH CALIBRATION ANGLE TEST 1 

The difference between successive clutch calibration angle values can be used to assess the condition of the transfer case clutch discs.

  1. Start the engine
  2. Set the transmission to Park
  3. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, check datalogger signal - Calibration Angle (0xD90C) - This is Result 1
    NOTE: If the routine fails because the clutch cannot be calibrated, contact Dealer Technical Support.
  4. Perform routine - Transfer Case Calibration
  5. Check datalogger signal - Calibration Angle (0xD90C). Record this value. This is Result 2

Do Result 1 and Result 2 differ by more than 10°?

Yes  : Install a new transfer case. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, perform routines - Calibrate Clutch and Transfer Case Classification

No  : No fault found
