Front HALFSHAFT RH (G1569227): Removal

CAUTION: The final tightening of the suspension components must be carried out with the vehicle on its wheels.
NOTE: Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
  1. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  2. Refer to Wheel and Tire (Removal and Installation).
  3. CAUTION: Discard the nut.

  7. NOTE:
    • Use an additional wrench to prevent the ball joint rotating.
    • Remove and discard the nut.

  9. CAUTION: Do not use a hammer to detach the halfshaft from the hub assembly, failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the halfshaft.
    NOTE: Using the wheel nuts, secure the special tool.

  10. CAUTION:
    • Make sure the wheel knuckle is supported. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the vehicle.
    • Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.
    • Discard the nut.

  12. WARNING: Make sure to support the shock absorber.
    CAUTION: Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.

  13. CAUTION:
    • To avoid damage to the joint or gaiter, do not allow the driveshaft to hang.
    • To avoid damage to the halfshaft constant velocity (CV) joints and boots, do not allow the CV joints to exceed 18 degrees of travel.
    • Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
