Transmission ASSEMLY Removal (G1551385): Removal

CAUTION:
- Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
- Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

NOTE: This step is only required if a new component is installed.

CAUTION: Discard the bolt.

- Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise.
- Discard the bolts.
- CAUTION: Secure with a cable tie.

CAUTION: Discard the nuts.

CAUTION: Discard the bolts.NOTE: Mark the position of the driveshaft on the transmission flange.

CAUTION: Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable retaining straps.NOTE:
- Make sure that the special tool is correctly installed to the recess on the driveshaft.
- Using a suitable hammer and drift, make sure that you only hit the corner edges of the special tool to remove the driveshaft.
Special Tool(s): 205-932
- CAUTION: Remove the cable tie.

WARNING: Make sure that the transmission is secured with suitable retaining straps.
Using a suitable hydraulic jack, support the transmission.
General Equipment: Transmission jack

CAUTION: Make sure that the transmission is lowered to the value indicated in the illustration.

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.CAUTION:
- Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.
- Make sure that the torque converter remains in the transmission.
NOTE: Secure the torque converter to the transmission using suitable cable ties. -
CAUTION: Always plug any open connections to prevent contamination.
