Possible Causes
NOTE:
No warning light is illuminated to indicate that the DTC is logged, but the fault may cause changes in the display illumination as part of defined functionality under these conditions. Instrument cluster may appear dim
- Instrument cluster internal failure
- Instrument cluster internal temperature sensor circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Media oriented system transport fiber optic transceiver sensor broken - instrument cluster unable to display audio/infotainment information
- Backlight sensor broken - instrument cluster will approximate the display temperature for backlight protection
