Removal And Installation: Turbocharger: Installation
- CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
Install a new turbocharger gasket.
Renew Part: Turbocharger to exhaust manifold gasket.
- Install the turbocharger.
- Install 2 retaining nuts in the illustrated positions.
Torque Specification: 10 Nm

Install the turbocharger in the illustrated sequence.
Torque Specification: 25 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the turbocharger oil return tube.
- Install new O-ring seals.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe seals.
Torque Specification: 11 Nm
- Install the turbocharger outlet pipe.
- Secure the catalytic converter to the lower bracket.
Torque Specification: 25 Nm
- Secure the catalytic converter to the turbocharger.
- Install a new gasket.
Renew Part: Exhaust pipe to turbocharger gasket.
- Install a new clamp.
Renew Part: Front exhaust clamp.
Torque Specification: 12 Nm

- Install the coolant pipes to the turbocharger.
- Torque Specification: 12 Nm
- Install the turbocharger oil feed pipe.
- Install new banjo bolt washers.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt washers.
- Install a new banjo bolt.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt.
Torque Specification: 18 Nm
- Install the turbocharger lower heatshield.
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
- Install the turbocharger upper heat shields.
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
- Fill and bleed the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING (General Procedures).
- Install the air deflector.
Refer to: AIR DEFLECTOR .
- Install the intake air resonator.
Refer to: INTAKE AIR RESONATOR .
- Connect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT (General Procedures).
- Check the engine oil level.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .
