Front Section

Each catalytic converter of the exhaust front section is joined to an inlet pipe with a flange that is attached to the exhaust manifolds on each bank.

The catalytic converters are fitted with both mid-catalyst and post-catalyst HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) on each of the pipes.

The mid and post catalyst HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) monitor the exhaust gasses leaving the engine. The ECM (Engine Control Module) uses this information to provide accurately metered quantities of fuel to the combustion chambers to ensure the most efficient use of fuel and to minimize the exhaust emissions.
