Charge Air Cooler

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Electrical power for the charge air coolant pump is supplied from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relay, located in the Engine Junction Box (EJB). When the relay is energized, it connects power from the primary battery to the charge air coolant pump. Operation of the charge air coolant pump is controlled by the PCM with a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal. When the charge air coolant pump is running, engine coolant flows from the pump outlet through the charge air cooler. Afterwards to the charge air radiator and back to the pump inlet connection.
