All vehicles
- Before working on the fuel system make sure to study the fuel system health and safety section of this manual.
Refer to: Petrol and Petrol-Ethanol Fuel Systems Health and Safety Precautions .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

General Equipment: Two-post lift
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.

- Remove the front left fender splash shield.
Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- Release the wiring harness clip from the lower fuel supply line mounting bracket.
- Remove the lower fuel supply line mounting bracket nut and disconnect the 2 fuel supply line connectors from the underbody fuel lines.WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
- Lower the vehicle on the lift to an appropriate working height.
- Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms.

- Release the cowl vent screen.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors and remove the cowl vent screen.
- Remove the body brace and fuel supply line rubber mounting.
Right-hand drive vehicles
- Release and reposition the fuse box.
All vehicles
- Release the fuel supply line to body clip.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips from the upper fuel supply line mounting bracket.
- Remove the upper fuel supply line mounting bracket to body bolt.
- Disconnect the 2 fuel supply line connectors from the engine and remove the fuel supply line from the vehicle.WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
