Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: Lifting .

  2. Remove the driveshaft assembly.

    Refer to Driveshaft - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol

    Refer to: Driveshaft - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel .

  3. G11314279

    Using the special tool, remove and discard the rear output flange nut and seal.

    Special Tool(s):  205-053

  4. G11314280

    Using a suitable tool, remove the output flange.

    General Equipment: Puller

  5. WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping oil.

    Using a suitable tool carefully remove and discard the oil seal.

  6. CAUTION: Make sure that the Jaguar approved cleaning fluid is used to clean the mating faces.

    Make sure to thoroughly clean the output flange splines.

Clean the seal register and thoroughly inspect for damage.
