Cylinder Head (G1550156): Removal

NOTE:

  1. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).
  2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING (G1816880) (General Procedures).

  9. CAUTION:
    • Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
    • Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

    • Carefully remove and discard the oil seal.

    • With assistance remove the cylinder head.

    • Remove and discard the cylinder head gasket.
