Driveshaft - GTDI 2.0L Petrol/V6 S/C 3.0 L Petrol/V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G1447993): Installation

  1. CAUTION: Only tighten the bolts finger-tight at this stage.
    NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the installation marks are aligned.

  3. CAUTION: Using the 3mm drill mark and paint mark on the differential drive pinion flange damper and paint alignment mark on the driveshaft (as indicated). Make sure that the alignment marks are correctly aligned.
    NOTE: This step only applies if a new driveshaft is being installed.

    Torque Specification: 75 Nm 

  5. NOTE: Make sure that you re-align the driveshaft to the transmission flange using the alignment mark.

    Torque Specification: 75 Nm

    Torque Specification: 40 Nm

    Torque Specification: 7 Nm 

  9. Refer to Front Muffler - INSTALLATION .
  10. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).
