Thermostat (G1557118): Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).

  2. Refer to Engine Cover - GTDi 2.0L Petrol (Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  3. WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  4. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING (G1816880) .
  5. Refer to Air Cleaner (Removal and Installation).

    Torque Specification: 10 Nm
