Turbocharger Boost Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Jaguar XF, 2014 Jaguar XF, and 2013 Jaguar XF. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The boost air pressure and temperature sensor is located in the outlet elbow of the charge air cooler. The sensor is sealed in the cooler with an O ring seal and secured with a single bolt.
The boost air pressure and temperature sensor is used by the ECM to monitor the boost pressure and temperature from the turbocharger. The ECM uses this information and information from other sensors to maintain the optimum boost pressure and modulate the pressure using the turbine intake pressure control valve and pressure actuator.
