Automatic Speed Limiter (ASL)

The Automatic Speed Limiter (ASL) is activated by pressing the ASL switch on the transmission control switch control module. A second press of the switch will de-activate the ASL.
The operation of the ASL is similar to the standard speed control system with the following differences:
- The outer marker on the speedometer in the instrument cluster showing the ASL set speed is shown in an amber color
- Pressing and holding the SET '+' switch will increase the ASL speed in increments of 8 km/h (5mph), a single press will increase speed in 1 km/h (1 mph) increments
- Pressing the accelerator pedal fully to initiate kickdown, will cancel the ASL function and give full vehicle speed control back to the driver
- The message "Limiter Cancelled" will be displayed in the instrument cluster together with an audible notification.
ASL will not occur when resuming ASL after a cancel has occurred, if the vehicle speed is noticeably different to set speed.
