Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE: The transmission control module (TCM) is part of the main control valve body and cannot be serviced separately.
  1. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).
  2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter  (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).

  6. CAUTION: Discard the component.

  7. CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
    NOTE: Note the position of the manual park brake release.
