Fuel System Pressure Release: Draining

  1. Remove the fuel pump fuse.
  2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
    3. CAUTION: When depressurizing the fuel system, make sure that there is no throttle input. Failure to follow this instruction may cause damage to the vehicle.
  3. Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine stalls.
  4. Crank the engine for approximately five seconds to make sure that the fuel rail pressure is released.
